Michelle Moore-Maynard COMPANY MANAGER/Senior Director / Drama Director

​Michelle is a 30-year veteran of the REVELATORS Dance Troupe. Michelle joined the group as a bright eyed seven-year-old girl. As part of the after-school program at the Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon, where her father Lowes Moore, Jr. was the Executive Director.

​By the time she was 15, she excelled in drama, music, mime, photography, and our technical programs. Blessed with a God given talent of her melodic voice and inspirational lyrics that matches her dedication and spirit, she began teaching at the age of 17. At the same time, she further taught different rhythmic routines and performed in many programs as a singer, dancer, and choreographer. As a result of her dedication to her musical talent, she recorded her first album.
 

Michelle’s talents were noted as she attended the Emmanuel Pentecostal Faith Temple in Mount Vernon, New York as her primary church.
Michelle was a lead dancer in many of the REVELATORS shows. However, in 2009 and 2010, she played the role of Dorothy in the Wiz with a Twist as she continues to direct, sing and dance in many of the Revelators performances.

Overtime, Michelle became a graduate of both SUNY purchase and Manhatanville college. Today, Michelle is now the Principal of the PS 41 Elementary School in the Bronx, NY where she has earned her tenure.
She alsos works along side Marion Archer in various leadership capacities. She has been instrumental in the success of the dance troupe over the past 30 years. Where she is the Senior Director of the Revelators Troupe.

​​Michelle is the wife of Deacon Dakarai Maynard and the mother of two of children, Dakotah & Hartley Maynard. She is the member of Fresh Start Christian Church in Mount Vernon, New York.

Karen Zambelli-Choreographer
                                          Karen Zambelli(Theatre Dance and in Drama), music, mime, photography and our technical programs. Karen Zambelli Director of Theatre Dance, she is responsible to being Theatre to “The Revelators Inc” a Westchester non-profit organization offering instruction in the performing arts for youth ages 6-25 years old.
Zambelli has been a full-time dance teacher in the Mount Vernon School Magnet Program for the past 30 years. She has been on staff with “The Mild Atlantic Ballet, Manhattanville College, and numerous musical theatre groups throughout Westchester. Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance. She has traveled the world performing and teaching and enjoys every minute.
Karen is currently Choreographing Eastchester and Tuckahoe High School “Jazz Co” dance clubs and is a winner of the Helen Hayes Award for Best Choreography in a Musical”. Karen has been a choreographer with the Revelators for the past six years and she hope to do so for many more.
Her guidance and direction have been valuable to the Revelators dance troupe. She is truly a dedication teacher and the consummate professional. Whenever. Marion is putting on a dance program, she always seeks the guidance and wisdom of her friend Karen. The Revelators salute and thank Karen Zambelli for her sacrifice of love! Willette Brown-Fatoyinbo,
 Administrative Director/Choreographer
                     Willette Brown-Fatoyinbo is the Administrative Director of The Revelators Inc, a Westchester non-profit organization offering instruction in the performing arts for youth ages 6-25 years old. She is responsible for expanding and strengthening Revelators funding base and capacity through securing government, corporate, foundation and individual grants and donations. In addition, Willette is responsible for the organization’s day-to-day operations and budget management.

​ Together with the Executive/Artistic Director, Willette assists in the development and expansion of program offerings ensuring that Revelators prepares its students for a career in the performing arts. An experienced higher education administrator, Ms.Fatoyinbo is particularly suited to developing a series of workshops designed to teach students how career management skills compliment and support their chosen craft. 
We Teach!
Ashlei Doughty / COMPANY MANAGER/ Asst.(Director)

​She has been dancing in the company since the age of 2 and began teaching at the age of 19.

​​She also sung with the Mount Vernon High School Gospel Choir as well as participating in the MVHS Cheerleading Team. Ashlei graduated from Mount Vernon High School and danced at the ceremony. She then graduated from Westchester school of Beauty Culture and attended a Performing Arts College to pursue her dreams. Ashlei also took classes at the Alvin Ailey School of Dance.

​As the company grew, she taught and assist teenagers with techniques and strategies to help them grow, “To Enlighten the Word of God through Dance, "as said in our mission statement. In 2007, Ashlei made her first acting debut as the lead role of Kate from Harlem Renaissance. She played the background characters from Hairspray in 2011, Fame in 2017 and one of the Marvelettes from Motown My Way in 2018. Last year in 2023, Ashlei had the pleasure to play the vibrant, colorful, Miss One from The Wiz: The Next Generation.

​She is the Director of the Angels Of Praise dance ministry at Emanuel Pentecostal Faith Temple in Mount Vernon, NY. She is also a helping hand in the girls ministry group called 'Girls on Fire”.

​In June of 2023, Ashley is the first to receive the “Marion Archer Lifetime Achievement Award”.
 
​Ashlei worked as a dance teacher throughout the Westchester County School Districts where she demonstrates different styles of dance such as; West African, Ballet, Jazz, and Modern Dance.

​ Ashlei’s goal is to continue to grow in ministry with Gods help and to inspire the youth to be a better generation.
In addition, Ashlei is blessed with a 7-year-old son, Javir Dixon.


Wayne Smith. /Creative Director

Wayne is a Professional Dancer and Choreographer

​​​He started with the Revelators Dance Troupe
over 13 years ago where the first big show they did when he joined was “The Wiz with A Twist”. He described the experience as a full circle moment for him. Furthermore, he trained professionally over the years at the Dance Theater of Harlem School, The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and other amazing dance companies like Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway and many more.

​Wayne is now one of the creative directors of the Revelators. He also developed his own group called, Wayne’s ministry and he is currently one of the directors of the Royalettes.

​Wayne worked as a dance teacher throughout the Westchester County School Districts where he demonstrates different styles of dance such as Ballet, Jazz, hip hop, and Modern Dance.

​Dance has become such a massive part of Wayne’s life, and he is excited to share his talents and knowledge with the youth and give back to his community.


Samuel A Reid Jr. Directors /Choreographer, Assistant Stage Managers

​A 27-year-old resident from Mount Vernon NY. Started off as a company member in 2011, became a dance Teacher in 2015 and currently one out of the Four Directors of the Revelators Troupe. Trained in multiple genres of dance, but specializes in jazz, gymnastics and ballet.

​​Sam was a Principal Dancer of Spirit Dance Center from 2013-2017and trained at the Dance Theatre of Harlem 2016-2017.

​Sam became the first assistant dance teacher of the Performing and Visual Arts Magnet School now known as (DWSA in 2016-2020,).

​Sam is the founding Director of the Royalettes Dance Company which began in 2015. He is a massive creator, mentor in the city of Mount Vernon New York. His resume of dance has so much more. But it all started as a

​​Revelator dance member and ASN cheerleader. Both teams shaped him into the person we all grew to love. And he will continue to spread his passion to the next generation of dancers.


Travis Xavier Archer

​Travis is a 27 year old graduate of Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry as a Film Major.
 
​In 2009, he played a minor role as Cheetah the flying monkey from The Wiz with A Twist and the cameraman from Hair-spray with a Zig Zag in 2011.

​From 2012 to 2013, Travis drew and designed cardboard animals for both A Christmas Story through dance and Music in Motion.
From 2018 to 2019, he wrote a script for Motown My Way and played a major role as Berry Gordy.
From 2019 to 2022, Travis participated as the voice over narrator and screenwriter for the following dance shows; Cece's Hot Chocolate Nutcracker, Let Me Dance in Color and Hot or Cold.
In the summer of both 2020 and 2022, Travis began to teach screenwriting and acting at the Revelators first ever dance camp in Mount Vernon, New York.

​Most recently in the fall of 2023, Travis played a major role as the king of the jungle himself, The Lion, in The Wiz: The Next Generation. At the same time, he also provided the script for The Wiz: The Next Generation as well.

​ In addition, he also wrote screenplays and fictional works of his own.
Travis’ dream is to one day open his very own animation studio called T.X.L.A. (Or Travimation Studios) so that he can produce his own animated movies and have them released in theaters on a yearly basis as well as earning a Golden Globe and Oscar for Best Animated Feature (or Best Picture).
